General Project Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to update the Chula Vista Elementary School District's network infrastructure for E-Rate Year 2026/2027. The project involves replacing end-of-life Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches across ten school sites and upgrading Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units and Extended Battery Modules (EBM) to safeguard the new equipment. The aim is to ensure reliable connectivity for school operations and classroom technology. The vendor will supply necessary parts and labor, with District staff handling network switch installation and configuration. Vendor-provided labor is specifically for rack-mounted UPS equipment installation and the removal/disposal of existing rack-mounted UPS/EBM equipment, to be scheduled during District breaks or outside regular school hours.
