General Project Description

The City of Citrus Heights is soliciting professional engineering services for the Sunrise Tomorrow Specific Plan Frontage Improvement Project, a federally funded initiative (Reconnecting Communities Project). The project's purpose is to implement frontage improvements along Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane, including a multi-use "Green Loop," intersection upgrades, traffic signal installation and modifications with transit signal priority, signal communication upgrades, and the development of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) capable transit center. The design scope covers approximately 4,200 linear feet of frontage improvements. Professional services required include project management, preliminary engineering, environmental documentation, right-of-way services, plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E), and bidding and construction support for the future construction phase.
