General Project Description

The City of Claremont is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for sidewalk rehabilitation services. The project primarily involves minor concrete repair and replacement of damaged public concrete, including sidewalks, walkways, curbs and gutters, and drive approaches at various identified locations throughout the city. The work is necessary due to tree root systems causing sidewalks to lift and crack. The awarded contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment, and temporary traffic control for grinding, constructing 6-inch drive approaches, 4-inch P.C.C. sidewalks (with or without special finishes/veneers), split face rock and cap curbs, regular curbs, and removal and replacement of asphalt. This includes tree root grinding and/or trimming and root barrier installation where required.
