General Project Description

The Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the refurbishment of six (6) rectangular secondary clarifiers at Water Reclamation Plant 10. This project aims to restore optimal performance and reliability of the solids handling system, which is critical for the secondary treatment process. The work includes the inspection, replacement, and/or rehabilitation of mechanical and wear components of the clarifier's chain and flight solids collection system, including drive units, chains, sprockets, bearings, and polymeric wear components. Additionally, the project requires the replacement of plant water lines serving each clarifier, using 316 stainless steel piping, fittings, and valves, with new piping to be routed beneath existing walkways according to CVWD specifications. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, supervision, services, transportation, waste disposal, and obtaining necessary permits.

Quantity: 6 Unit: Each Work Item: Replacement of Plant Water Lines for Secondary Clarifiers. Specifications: New piping fabricated from 316 stainless steel, complete with new fittings and valves, routed beneath existing walkways, conforming to CVWD specifications.
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Site Cleaning and Disposal. Specifications: Removal and disposal of unused materials and returning the area to its original state.
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Conducting Service on Tipping Weir and High Torque Sheer Pin Assembly. Specifications: Ensure tilting mechanism works properly and verify proper operation of sheer pin assembly.
