General Project Description

The City of Compton is seeking qualified contractors to provide citywide red curb painting services which include both execution and required data-collection deliverables. The project's objective is to support a coordinated, data-driven curb-marking program to enhance safety, accessibility, and compliance with state and local regulations, specifically California Assembly Bill 413 (Vehicle Code §22500). The scope of work includes conducting a citywide curb inventory and submitting GIS-compatible digital data documenting all painted curb segments, followed by the preparation and painting of all required red curbs in accordance with applicable law and standards. The estimated total length of curb to be painted is approximately 200,000 feet, consisting of roughly 140,000 feet of new markings and 60,000 feet of repainting, subject to change based on field conditions.
