General Project Description

This project involves the full and partial replacement of Poured in Place (PIP) rubberized playground surfacing at multiple parks within the Cosumnes Community Services District. The scope includes removing existing rubberized surfaces, providing and installing new Flexground EnduraFlex PIP material (or approved equal) using Aliphatic Urethane, and ensuring specific color blends for perimeter replacements. Work at Kramer Park (approx. 4,050 SF) requires full replacement, including tree root removal, adding permeable AB base rock, compaction, and grading to achieve an 8-foot critical fall height. Partial replacements at Keema Park (approx. 263 SF/LF), Kloss Park (approx. 17 SF) (including a 6-inch strip in the adaptive swing area), and Luttig Park (approx. 240 SF/LF) involve 1-foot or 6-inch perimeter strip replacements with angle cuts to seamlessly join new and existing materials. Temporary 6-foot chain link fencing and "Construction Zone/No Entry" signs must be provided by the contractor for safety and protection of the finished surface.

Quantity: +/- 4,050 Unit: SF Work Item: Kramer Park: Full replacement of PIP rubberized surfacing to include buffings. Specifications: Includes removal of numerous tree roots, addition of extra permeable AB base rock, compaction, and grading. Buffings and PIP surfacing depth to meet 8 ft critical fall height. Finished surface shall be flat.
Quantity: +/- 17 Unit: SF Work Item: Kloss Park: 17 Sq Ft of replacement of PIP rubberized surfacing in 1 area (+/- 17 SF). Specifications: Includes 6-inch strip 33 feet long down the middle of the adaptive swing area. Angle cut buffings and surface material to create a shelf. PIP material: Flexground EnduraFlex (or approved equal) with Aliphatic Urethane. New color for 6 inch strip: 50% Light Blue RH22, 50% Black RH 70 (or similar using TPV color chart).
Quantity: +/- 240 Unit: SF/LF Work Item: Luttig Park: 1 foot replacement of the outer perimeter of the PIP rubberized surfacing to include buffings. Specifications: Angle cut buffings and surface material to create a shelf. PIP material: Flexground EnduraFlex (or approved equal) with Aliphatic Urethane. New color for 1 ft perimeter: 50% Dark Green RH12, 50% Black RH 70 (or similar using TPV color chart).
