Cudahy City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, CLARA BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, identified under Solicitation ID: BRI-001. Work is to be performed near Clara St, Cudahy, CA 90201, USA in Los Angeles County.

General Project Description

This project involves the comprehensive improvement of the Clara Bridge. The work scope includes furnishing all necessary materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals for installing LED lights, retrofitting concrete beams for new poles, painting hand-rails, structural repairs based on bridge inspection recommendations, reconfiguring traffic striping, and installing traffic calming measure devices. Additionally, the project entails the construction and installation of streetlights, application of slurry seal, general painting, and roadway marking and striping. Other related items cover pavement work, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and pedestrian ramps. The project requires compliance with Public Works Construction standards and all applicable codes.

This includes installation of conduit, wiring, excavation, saw cutting, trenching, pavement repair, boring and other miscellaneous items such as seismic connectors, splices, joints, conduit clips or attachments to existing concrete bridge per Caltrans standards and all required appurtenances. This includes structural installation of steel poles and lamps per Details No. 2, 3, & 4 of structural plans as well as electrical installation of LED lamps per electrical plans, specifications, and Caltrans standards, and other miscellaneous items such as base plates, anchor bolts, adaptors, etc. and all required appurtenances
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: EA  Work Item: Provide and install (5” Diameter Round Straight Steel Tube, Mounting and, Luminaire Pole Arm: NLS Lighting or equal 5” Diameter x 7 GA Steel Pole per Plans). Specifications: ASTM A501 68/ Pole complete with anchor bolts

  • Quantity: 6  Unit: EA  Work Item: Prepare concrete beams per plans and manufacturer recommendations for FRP Material installation; Fiber Wrap existing concrete beams (6) with FRP Material per structural plans and manufacturer recommendations. Specifications: FRP Material shall be HEX 103C unidirectional fiber from Sika Corp,.0.04” thick for shear strengthening; Adhesive shall be Sikadur HEX Epoxy
