General Project Description
The Cupertino Union School District intends to procure alternative design-build services for the construction of three new gymnasiums at Miller, Hyde, and Kennedy Middle Schools. The selected Design/Builder will be fully responsible for all design and construction services, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, landscape architecture, electrical, security systems, telecommunications, data/low-voltage, geotechnical engineering, topographic/boundary surveying, interior design, modular furniture systems, equipment coordination, space planning, and acoustical engineering. The scope also includes site work (roofing, waterproofing, public right-of-way improvements, new parking lots, hardscape, land scape, utilities), all associated plan checks, permitting activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and building codes.
