General Project Description
The City of Daly City is soliciting professional engineering design services for the John Daly Boulevard Pedestrian and Bicycle Facility Improvements Project. This project aims to enhance an existing multi-use path between Ashland Drive and Poncetta Drive to ensure safer two-way travel for pedestrians and bicyclists, aligning sections with current ADA standards. The scope encompasses preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for constructing a Class I Multi-Use Path, installing curb ramps, pedestrian-scale lighting, benches, and new signage. Key consultant tasks include comprehensive project coordination, multi-agency and utility coordination, detailed surveying and mapping of existing conditions, extensive utility and right-of-way research, and the development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design documents (Plans, Specifications & Estimates - PS&E), followed by construction support services.
