General Project Description

This project involves comprehensive electrical upgrades at the Duarte City Yard. The scope includes removing existing service meter panels and main branch circuit panels, reworking and routing branch circuit conduits to new main service panels via in-grade pull boxes, and installing new wiring to existing loads. The contractor will coordinate with the utility company for the installation of new 400-amp service equipment, including underground pull sections, meters, circuit breakers, and grounding, and will install underground service entrance conduits. Additional work comprises installing protective bollards and a new concrete pad for the electrical service equipment, as well as installing branch circuits, receptacles, and a telephone backboard in the modular building telecom closet. Coordination with the telecom utility company is required for a new conduit riser from the telephone pole to the modular building telecom closet. Furthermore, the project includes installing conduit and in-grade pull boxes for future electrical vehicle chargers, and performing all necessary trenching and surface repair for new underground conduits. All work is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
