General Project Description
The East Bay Regional Park District is soliciting engineering firms to provide design services for the Anthony Chabot Marksmanship Range Remediation project. The scope of services includes drafting an implementation work plan, preparing bid-ready construction plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates (PS&E), obtaining required permits and approvals, and attending project meetings. The selected remedial alternative involves removing, consolidating, and isolating surface soil contamination with a cap and/or by in situ solidification and stabilization (ISS). Key tasks for the engineering services include reviewing existing information, conducting relevant studies (e.g., soil delineation, geotechnical, hydrology), developing a preferred remedial alternative with cost estimates and schedule, designing the implementation plan (including civil design, environmental/cultural protection, construction health & safety, SWPPP, demolition specs, soil sampling, grading, backfill, liners, decontamination), managing permitting and CEQA documentation, and preparing 60%, 90%, and 100% PS&E final bid packages.
