General Project Description

The East Bay Regional Park District (Park District) is seeking a consultant to develop a framework for prioritizing vegetation management activities across its 126,000 acres of parklands. The project involves a data synthesis effort to identify strategically prioritized Vegetation Treatment Areas to address wildfire risk, ecosystem health, and public access. The consultant will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and synthesizing existing data, identifying data gaps, developing a prioritization framework using various data sources including GIS data, and identifying strategic vegetation treatment units with prescriptions. Key deliverables include a final report with polygons of strategic treatment units and project metadata.
