General Project Description
The East Side Union High School District is seeking to prequalify design-build entities or teams to design and construct the District's DW Swimming Pool Modernization Project at Andrew Hill, Evergreen, and Oak Grove High Schools. This project involves renovating aging and outdated aquatic facilities to provide modern, efficient spaces. The modernization will address deteriorated finishes, inefficient systems, and missing program features, transforming the pools into high-value resources. Efforts will include improving energy efficiency by integrating high-efficiency filtration systems, variable-speed pumps, LED lighting, and better-insulated mechanical spaces, while creating accessible and supportive design elements for all users. The selected Design/Builder must be appropriately licensed in California for architectural, engineering, and construction services and have experience with public school facilities and relevant state agencies (OPSC, DSA, Title 24). All design-build team contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
