General Project Description

This project involves the comprehensive maintenance and overlay of various streets within the City of El Centro. The scope of work includes grinding existing asphalt concrete pavement, installing conventional asphalt concrete leveling course, hot mix asphalt (HMA), asphalt rubber aggregate membrane (ARAM), and slurry seal. Additional work entails crack cleaning and filling, traffic striping and pavement markings, utility adjustments (water valves, gas valves, manholes), replacement of ADA ramps and sidewalks, minor aggregate base installation, monument preservation, material testing, erosion control, and traffic control. All work must adhere to the latest editions of the Caltrans Traffic Manual and the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (“California MUTCD”), as well as specific project specifications and general conditions.
