General Project Description

This project involves the comprehensive removal and replacement of existing roofing systems at three high school campuses: El Monte High School, Rosemead High School, and Fernando R. Ledesma High School. The scope includes all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and permits for demolition, disposal, and installation of new, code-compliant roofing systems. Work must adhere to applicable codes and regulations. Any tar around vent/pipe penetrations on the Boys' Locker South extension and Breezeway roof at El Monte High School testing positive for Chrysotile asbestos (5%) requires removal by an asbestos abatement registered contractor and certified workers, with a project design developed by a certified asbestos consultant.
