General Project Description
This solicitation aims to procure Ethernet Dedicated Internet (EDI) services for the Elk Grove Unified School District under a three-year contract, with options to increase bandwidth. The project requires a Service Provider to deliver, maintain, and support a Wide Area Network (WAN) with scalability to meet current and future needs. The network must support industry-standard protocols (VLANs, OSPF, IGMP, PIM, SNMP, COS/QoS) and be capable of bi-directional, full-duplex Ethernet frame transmissions (IEEE 802.3) for various protocols including IP Data, Voice Over IP (VoIP) telephony, streaming digital video, and teleconferencing. The scope includes providing a 40Gbe or 80Gbe internet path to the Student Support Center and furnishing all necessary equipment such as switches, cabling, and connectors.
