Elk Grove City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Laguna Creek Multi-Functional Corridor Project – Multi-Functional Corridor Project, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 8401 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove, CA 95758, USA in Sacramento County.
General Project Description
This project involves the construction of an approximately half-mile long multi-functional corridor along Laguna Creek in the City of Elk Grove, located between East Stockton Boulevard and Camden Park. The corridor will serve as maintenance access to Laguna Creek and a future pedestrian and bicycle trail. The work includes elevating the corridor by about 2 feet, constructing a 10-foot-wide paved surface with 2-feet wide decomposed granite shoulders, installing post-and-cable fencing, and erecting two prefabricated steel truss bridges with concrete decks. Additional features include two floodway excavation areas to offset floodplain encroachments and rock slope protection at creek embankments near bridge abutments to prevent scouring. The project will be constructed in two phases, with Phase I focusing on the maintenance access road, paved surface, bridges, and floodway excavation, and Phase II converting the access road to a Class 1 functional trail.
