General Project Description

This project involves comprehensive pavement restoration across various roadways in the City of Escalon. The scope includes the removal of existing pavement markings, crack sealing, the application of slurry seal, and the reinstallation of new striping and pavement markings. The work also encompasses traffic control, pothole repair, pavement cleaning and preparation, pneumatic rolling, and sweeping as necessary for a complete installation.

  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Micro Slurry Seal; Specifications: Type II Polymer-Modified Emulsified Asphalt Slurry Seal application, including traffic control, removal of existing striping, pavement cleaning and preparation, crack sealing, pothole repair, pneumatic rolling, and sweeping. Slurry Seal shall conform to State Standards Section 37-2.
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Crack Seal (Crack Treatments); Specifications: Applied single component crack and joint sealant conforming to Caltrans Crack Sealant – Type 2 Material and ASTM D5167. Includes cleaning of cracks and adjacent asphalt concrete, and removal of protruding old sealant.
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Striping and Pavement Markings Reinstallation; Specifications: Replacement of all pavement markings damaged, removed, or covered. All traffic striping shall be thermoplastic, conforming to Caltrans Standard Specifications Section 84-2 and Caltrans 2018 Standard Plan “Pavement Markers and Traffic Lines Typical Details”. Includes removal of existing yellow paint/thermoplastic striping.
