General Project Description

The Fairfield -Suisun Unified School District is seeking proposals for a contract for E-Rate eligible Core Switch Equipment for its 32 school sites and District Office. The project involves the procurement and potential installation of enterprise-grade network core switch equipment designed to handle full line rate traffic with minimal packet loss, support redundant power supplies, feature 10GbE and future 40GbE ports, perform advanced routing (BGP, OSPF v3), and enable WAN encryption (MACsec GCM-AES-128 or higher). A central management software solution for configuration, backup, and monitoring, supporting various traffic analysis flows (NetFlow, sFlow), is also required.
