General Project Description

The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District is seeking proposals for telecommunications services involving a multi-year contract for E-rate eligible Leased Dark Fiber or Leased Lit Fiber Service. The project aims to connect the District's central HUB location to its various school campuses and other district facilities using a fiber optic network. The scope includes installation of services to the Minimum Point of Entry (MPOE) and extensions to the demarcation point at each site. Proposals should detail ongoing monthly recurring costs for maintenance and operations, provide a Return on Investment (ROI) cost comparison over a 20-year period (including bandwidth scalabilities for Lit Fiber up to 100 Gbps), and include pricing for 60-month contract terms. Vendors must also provide KMZ files for fiber runs, longitude/latitude information, and commit to project completion within 12 months.
