General Project Description
The City of Folsom Parks and Recreation Department is seeking proposals from qualified firms or interdisciplinary teams to provide Class I trail design services for the Folsom-Placerville Rail Trail Project. This project involves providing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for approximately 1.5 miles of Class I trail improvements for bicycles and pedestrians. The work extends from the Humbug-Willow Creek Trail (between Creekside Drive and Oak Avenue Parkway) on the west to Iron Point Road on the east, including segments along East Bidwell Street within the Sacramento-Placerville Transportation Corridor, and additional segments between Iron Point Road/Broadstone Parkway and Scholar Way/Humbug-Willow Creek Trail. The consultant will progress an existing 30% design to 100% final contract documents, complete right-of-way (R/W) phase work, and provide construction engineering support, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws, and addressing CEQA/NEPA mitigation issues.
