General Project Description
This project entails the comprehensive plastering, decking maintenance, and fixture upgrades for the City of Fontana's Heritage Community Center Aquatic Facility, specifically for the Competition Pool (200,000 gallons) and Wader Pool (8,000 gallons). The scope of work includes inspecting, grinding/V-cutting, and treating cracks in pool shells, addressing rebar exposure with epoxy sealant, removing and replacing all waterline tiles, pool markings, t-tiles, racing line tiles, depth markings, drain and vent covers (including main drains and skimmer covers), and replastering pools with a monolithic application (3/8" to 1/2" thickness, troweled to a smooth finish). It also involves removing existing pool lights and installing energy-efficient LED lights, ensuring proper alignment, secure installation, and full functionality. Detailed decking maintenance comprises protecting surfaces, cleaning, pressure washing, repairing/resurfacing damaged areas (cracks, spalling, chemical degradation), applying new textured coating and sealants, and replacing/repairing expansion joints with color-matched materials. The contractor is required to provide a five-year warranty for plastering materials, workmanship, and fixture replacement, and a minimum one-year warranty for deck materials and workmanship.
