General Project Description
The Fontana Unified School District is seeking sealed proposals from qualified network service providers for a multi-year contract to provide managed private (non-shared) and secured high-speed leased lit fiber optic Wide Area Network (WAN) services. This project involves connecting a new elementary school to the District Office data center (9680 Citrus Avenue, Fontana, CA 92335) via a 10Gbps dedicated bandwidth point-to-point fiber-connected solution. The service must deliver 10Gbps full duplex using Layer 2 Ethernet protocol over single-mode fiber optic cabling with LC fiber termination points. The scope includes installation, a detailed project plan with milestones, minimal disruption during installation, 24/7 technical support, regular maintenance, and upgrades. The new elementary school is under construction at the northeast corner of Cypress Avenue and Duncan Canyon Drive in northern Fontana. The service provider is responsible for ensuring the underground conduit is adequate for new fiber and obtaining any required City/County improvements and permits.
