Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Pool & Physical Education Facilities Improvements at Foothill College, identified under Solicitation ID: 1972A-115. Work is to be performed near 12345 El Monte Rd, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022, USA in Santa Clara County.
General Project Description
The project involves the modernization of the Pool and Physical Education complex at Foothill College, including selective renovation and modernization of the pool and buildings 2500, 2600, 2700, and 2800, and surrounding site. Key improvements include expanding the existing pool to Olympic size with a new shell, constructing a new pool deck, surge tank, and pump room, replacing pool plumbing, filtration, and chemical treatment systems, installing new underwater and exterior site lighting, adding a new canopy over existing bleachers, and decorative perimeter fencing. It also involves replacing mechanical and electrical systems in the main mechanical room (including temporary systems), replacing select mechanical equipment in each building, installing a new Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) Building Management System, connecting and integrating pool and building heating systems to a low-temperature heat pump plant, and installing backup natural gas boilers. Additionally, the project includes removing existing concrete bleachers, constructing new retaining walls, applying brick veneer to new exterior concrete walls, improving accessibility and emergency egress, renovating four locker rooms (including showers and changing areas), converting an existing team room into an all-gender locker room, upgrading fire suppression and HVAC systems, installing new EV charging stations, replacing and coating wood siding on Buildings 2500 and 2600, replacing wood railings, and replacing/coating exposed glulam beam tails on Buildings 2500 and 2600.
