General Project Description
The Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for all its schools and facilities. This program aims for effective, long-term pest suppression by minimizing reliance on pesticides, emphasizing monitoring, data interpretation, and prioritizing non-chemical control measures. The required work includes monthly IPM services at various district locations (elementary, middle, high schools, other sites, and nutrition centers), routine management, inspections (kitchens, multi-purpose rooms, offices, administrative areas, athletic fields for rodent control), gopher mound leveling, application of pesticides/rodenticides when necessary, repairs to bird netting, monitoring abnormal pest activity, and detailed site-specific inspections with recommendations for structural and procedural improvements. Additionally, as-needed services include wildlife trapping (non-protected wildlife), installation of new bird netting, local termite treatment, and beehive removal. The contract term is for three years, with an option to extend for two additional one-year periods.
