General Project Description

The City of Gilroy is seeking an on-call consultant(s) to provide standard and expedited building and fire plan review and inspection services. The purpose of this project is to assist the City's Community Development Department with the volume of permitting activity. The scope of work includes performing plan reviews and inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial developments to ensure compliance with adopted building codes (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy, green building, accessibility) and fire codes. Services also encompass onsite civil engineering plan review, comprehensive plan review across all trades, incorporating requirements from various City departments and other regulating agencies, processing plan revisions, and general project coordination and communication with city staff and permit applicants.
