General Project Description

The City of Gilroy is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide on-call cleanup services for homeless encampment sites and illegal dumping sites within the City. Services are required on an on-call basis with at least 72-hour advanced notice. The scope includes surveying sites, collecting debris, dismantling temporary structures, removal of all types of waste (trash, human waste, hazardous materials), and proper disposal coordinated with Recology. Contractors must provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, and personal protective clothing, ensure safety procedures, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including CAL-OSHA hazardous materials training and certified payroll requirements. Best Management Practices (BMPs) for pollution prevention are also required.
