General Project Description
The Centerville Bike Park Project is a Design-Build contract for developing a new permanent all-wheel bike park at 111 Centerville Rd, Grass Valley, CA. The project aims to create a high-quality facility that blends recreational function with environmental sensitivity and aesthetic harmony, providing a safe, engaging, and visually appealing riding experience for users of all ages and skill levels. The scope includes all design, surveying, mapping, engineering, public outreach, and construction activities necessary to erect a new bike park and other miscellaneous park features. Key elements involve designing and constructing an asphalt pump track with rollers, berms, and banked turns, a 6-foot asphalt pathway, native landscaping for erosion control and aesthetics, and the installation of benches, bike racks, shade structures, trash receptacles, and signage. The design must adhere to safety standards for BMX riders, skateboarders, and scooter users. The Design-Build team is responsible for preliminary engineering, community outreach, environmental documentation, cost estimates, final design plans and specifications, construction bidding oversight, and construction services through project completion.
