General Project Description
This project involves the rebid for the supply and installation of specialized orchestra shell towers and wall panels at the Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) Performing Arts Center. The scope includes providing a complete, safe, and fully functional system comprising acoustical towers equipped with integral seismic tethers, custom overhead anchorage, zero-throw casters, and curved wing panels. The work also includes the supply and installation of wall panels designed for permanent mounting to existing Unistrut structures, incorporating integral lighting fixtures. The contractor is responsible for all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and coordination. This includes site investigation, quality assurance in accordance with UL, NEC, IEEE, and manufacturer's recommendations, provision of maintenance stock, and post-installation training for district staff. Additionally, the project requires the design and installation of storage area guides, seismic restraints for the towers, and floor markings within the storage zone.
