General Project Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks professional design and project management services for the Hazard Elimination Safety Program (HSIP) Pedestrian Crossing Upgrades on Minor Arterials Project. The scope encompasses overall project management, existing site surveys, comprehensive Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) development through 60%, 90%, and 100% design phases, alongside bid and construction support services. Key tasks include data collection (topography, roadway geometry, existing signage, striping, utilities, traffic operations data), preparation of various project drawings (title sheets, notes, details, cross sections, demolition plans, layout plans, profiles, signing, striping), and the creation of project specifications and detailed cost estimates. The selected consultant will be expected to identify and design alternative solutions for any infeasible project elements and coordinate necessary permits. Final construction documents must be stamped by a Professional Civil Engineer.
