Hemet City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, 2024/25 Citywide Slurry Seal, identified under Solicitation ID: 2410. Work is to be performed near 445 E Florida Ave, Hemet, CA 92543, USA in Riverside County.
General Project Description
This project for the City of Hemet involves citywide pavement maintenance. The scope includes removing existing striping, digging out and filling cracks greater than 1-1/2", crack sealing cracks between 1/8" to 1-1/2", applying a Type II slurry seal, and restriping. Additional work items include sawcutting and removal of 10" asphalt concrete pavement, base, and subgrade to construct 4" AC pavement over 6" Crushed Miscellaneous Base (CMB); removal of 16" existing pavement and construction of 8" concrete splash pads over 8" compacted base; constructing smooth pavement joint transitions across existing grades; and replacement of existing Type A and Type E traffic loop detectors, as well as various pavement markings (two-way left turn lanes, double yellow center lines, white channelizing lines, lane lines, right edge lines, bike lane lines, thermoplastic "line stop" and "stop" words), and blue dot hydrant markers. Work also includes temporary traffic control, water quality control, and temporary construction project identification signs.
