General Project Description

The City of Hemet is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for senior home repair projects and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) housing program modifications. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is part of a larger program with a total expenditure not exceeding $570,000, and individual projects capped at $10,000 each. The scope of work includes furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, tools, and materials. Specific work detailed relates to HVAC system replacement, including removal of the existing system, installation of new high-efficiency units (e.g., Rheem or equivalent 14 SEER, energy star rated, 3.0-ton system), new registers, gas flex lines, shut-off valves, disconnect boxes, fuses, low and high voltage hook-ups, and a large-font thermostat.
