General Project Description

The City of Hemet is seeking a qualified Contractor to perform senior home repair and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) housing program work for a specific property identified as "GOMEZ." The primary scope of work for this project involves the complete replacement of an HVAC system. This includes the removal and proper disposal of the existing YORK HVAC system, installation of new registers throughout the house, and the installation of a new high-efficiency 2.5-ton, 14 SEER Rheem (or equivalent) HVAC unit. The new system requires a new gas flex line, shut-off valve, disconnect box, fuses, low and high voltage hook-up, and an energy star rated unit with a large font thermostat. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, fees, and a City business license, and ensuring all work meets City building, planning, public works codes, and the 2025 Residential Housing Codes with journeyman-level craftsmanship.
