General Project Description

The City of Hemet is seeking a qualified contractor to perform senior home repair projects under the ADA Housing Program. This specific project, "Cervantes", involves comprehensive roofing work for a residential property totaling 720 SF. The scope includes demolition of existing metal, membrane, or shingle roof covering down to the decking/framing, removal and off-site disposal of all waste, installation of minimum 2-inch thick, R-10 rigid foam insulation, application of synthetic underlayment, installation of eave flashing, gable trim, new roof vents or a shingle-over ridge ventilation system, and the installation of metal roof panels. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, fees, and a City business license, and all work must comply with City building, planning, and public works codes, and the 2025 Residential Housing Codes.
