General Project Description

This project involves furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the repair and replacement of asphalt pavement and dirt roads damaged by recent storm events within the City of Hesperia. The comprehensive scope includes unclassified excavation, earthwork, grading, import and/or export of materials, proper disposal of damaged asphalt pavement and other deleterious materials, restoration of roadway and shoulder grades, furnishing and installation of aggregate base and new asphalt pavement, and removal and replacement of affected striping and markings. All appurtenant work is required to ensure the project is fully functional and operational, completed in accordance with Contract Documents and Specifications.

Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Mobilization, bonds, insurance, field office, clean-up, relocations, demobilization, provision of construction water, dust control, clearing and grubbing, removal/re-installation or replacement of mailboxes/minor structures, submittals, and obtaining encroachment permits.
Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: Road Repairs (Dirt Roads). Specifications: Includes filling rutting with clean dirt, grading the roadway with inverted crown, repairing and/or raising sunken valve cans or boxes, and maintaining driveways. Further related work includes unclassified excavation, earthwork, grading, import/export and placement of material, removal and proper disposal of damaged asphalt pavement and other deleterious materials, restoration of roadway and shoulder grades, furnishing and installation of 6" Crushed Aggregate Base, 4" Asphalt Concrete Pavement, and removal and replacement of affected striping and markings (in kind). AC pavement shall be placed and spread with a self-propelled paving machine and finish-rolled in accordance with Standard Specifications. Subgrade preparation shall conform to Section 301-1.
