General Project Description
The Town of Hillsborough is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide professional services for a Telecommunications Assessment and recommendations. The project aims to evaluate the Town's current telecommunications service availability and quality, identify gaps in wireless and fiber access, review existing policies, conduct community outreach, conduct peer analysis, review town-owned facilities' integration, recommend town regulations/policies, develop a community education library and resources guide, research alternative technologies, and explore creative methods and options to improve connectivity, reliability, and access to backup power. The selected consultant will be responsible for identifying specific tasks, roles, budgets, and timelines for implementing recommended solutions.
