Riverside County Housing Authority is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, PARKING LOT RECOATING AND EXPANSION PROJECT AT THE HACR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE, identified under Solicitation ID: 2025-009. Work is to be performed near 5555 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92504, USA in Riverside County.

General Project Description

The project encompasses the recoating (slurry coat), curb painting, and striping of the existing parking lot (approximately 52,839 SF) at the HACR administrative office. Additionally, it involves the expansion of the parking lot next door to add 20 to 25 new parking spaces (approximately 14,505 SF). The work includes comprehensive site preparation, excavation, grading for proper drainage, installation of base layers (crushed stone, gravel, aggregate), asphalt paving and finishing, and all necessary pavement markings and traffic control elements. All work must adhere to local, state, and federal codes, with particular emphasis on Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages and Federal funding requirements.

  • Quantity: Approx. 52,839  Unit: SF  Work Item: Slurry coat entire parking lot and restripe and paint; including fire lane. Specifications: Slurry seal, micro surfacing, rubberized emulsion, aggregate application methods. Includes layout, referencing, painting, application, and installation of protective coatings, lines, arrows, traffic stripes, and markings (hot thermoplastic; tape traffic stripes). Also encompasses surface cleaning and preparation, painting of approximately 480 LF of curbs in red with white lettering (FIRE LANE CVC 22500.1), and approximately 1,475 LF of parking stall striping in white paint, including at least 6 ADA parking spaces in blue with erected signs.
  • Quantity: Approx. 14,505  Unit: SF  Work Item: New parking lot and bumper stops construction including restriping and painting. Specifications: Creation of 20-25 new parking spaces suitable for standard vehicles (8.5 to 9 FT wide X 17 to 18 FT long), with parking layout at a 30-to-53-degree angle. Includes site preparation (clearing vegetation, debris, existing structures), grading (slopes of 1-2% for drainage), and installation of subgrade (compacted natural soil), sub-base (4-6 inches of crushed stone or gravel), base (4-8 inches of crushed aggregate), and surface layers (2-3 inches of asphalt). Asphalt paving requires hot mix asphalt delivered and laid with an paver, compacted with rollers. Final finishing includes approximately 1,100 LF of parking stall striping and painting.
