General Project Description

The Imperial Valley Housing Authority (IVHA) is seeking qualified contractors to replace 30 existing windows with Energy Star retrofit dual pane windows at Al Mix Villa, Units 1-6, in Brawley, California. The project encompasses the removal of current windows, the supply and installation of new windows to meet Energy Star performance and Title 24 prescriptive requirements (Milgard Window or equivalent, with a slight tint), and ensuring they meet Emergency Escape (Egress) Window standards (CBC 1030 and CRC R310). Contractors are responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and traffic control. This includes verifying window sizes, shimmying and leveling, sealing with elastomeric silicone sealant, installing screens, conducting final adjustments, coordinating inspections, and performing all site clean-up. Additionally, the contractor must obtain all required city permits and certifications.
