General Project Description

This project involves the demolition of existing structures at the City of Imperial Wastewater Treatment Plant to make way for new wastewater units and facilities, including an influent pump station and headworks structure. The scope includes selective demolition, installation of a new 12-foot x 60-foot modular office building, sealing a cracked cold joint at the Ultraviolet Disinfection Facility, minor electrical and lighting improvements in two existing buildings, and site grading. Demolition work covers the Operations Building, Clarifier Number 1, Clarifier Number 2, Sludge Pump Station Building (including scum pit and backfilling), Septic Dump Structure, PCC Retaining Wall, and existing sidewalks and AC pavement. The project also entails the removal and proper disposal of identified asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP) found in the Operations Building and Clarifiers.
