General Project Description
The City of Indio is seeking proposals from qualified developers or development teams to purchase and develop one of two City-owned properties. The goal is to create high-quality, lower-density residential housing, which may include single-family homes, duplexes, and triplexes. The project emphasizes sustainable and innovative construction methods (e.g., straw bale, cob, adobe), affordability for varying income levels, and contributions to downtown revitalization and walkability. The scope of services includes site acquisition, comprehensive planning, housing design, obtaining entitlements and approvals, securing financing, managing all aspects of construction, and achieving project completion.
