Inland Empire Utilities Agency is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Montclair Force Main Improvements Project, identified under Solicitation ID: IFB-JV-002. Work is to be performed near 901 W Philadelphia St, Ontario, CA 91762, USA in San Bernardino County.
General Project Description
This project involves the construction of the Montclair Force Main Improvements, including approximately 4618 linear feet (LF) of new 20-inch DIPS HDPE DR13.5 force main and fittings in Philadelphia Street, Ontario. The scope also includes constructing about 282 LF of new 30-inch steel casing with carrier pipe installation for a guided horizontal auger bore crossing of Euclid Avenue, complete with jacking and receiving shafts, shoring, and instrumentation. Further work entails building a new 72-inch "doghouse" style discharge junction manhole, a 13'x13'x13.25' precast concrete valve vault (including sump pump, valves, piping, fittings, electrical, and instrumentation), and installing two 18-inch motorized plug valves with 480V electric actuators. Associated tasks cover power and instrumentation conduit and cable, excavation, shoring, backfill, temporary bypass pumping, trenching, bedding, compaction, traffic control, street AC replacement, sealing, restriping, demolition of existing 18-inch ductile iron pipe and sewer lines, repair or replacement of damaged traffic loops and existing manhole frames/covers, and cleaning/inspecting existing force mains.
