General Project Description
This Request for Proposal seeks consulting services for Phase I of the Chipmunk Canyon Recreation Area, focusing on establishing the geographic scope, conducting existing conditions analysis, and providing a foundation for future recreation planning. The scope includes developing a leadership team, reviewing land ownership and jurisdictional boundaries, integrating GIS data for a base map with overlays of natural/cultural resources, trails, and topography, ground-truthing existing trail data, developing trail typology and condition assessments, conducting comprehensive trail use analysis (including surveys and traffic data), and identifying funding and implementation mechanisms for long-term stewardship and financial sustainability.
