Work is to be performed near 4850 Pedley Rd, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509, USA in Riverside County.

General Project Description

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to prequalify Design-Build Entities (DBEs) for the modernization of the Jurupa Unified School District's Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation (MOT) facility. The project aims to align with Zero-Emission School Bus and Infrastructure (ZESBI) incentives and will be executed through a design-build delivery method. The comprehensive scope includes site preparation and demolition of existing concrete, asphalt, fire lanes, and turf; extensive grading for new construction, proper subgrade, compaction, and drainage pathways; creation of designated access and circulation routes; new paving for drive paths and parking areas; and significant infrastructure installation. Infrastructure work involves 8' ornamental fencing, gates, striping, signage, sealing existing asphalt, pathways, Public Address (PA) systems, site lighting systems, and low voltage/security camera infrastructure. Additionally, the project includes preparing pathways and relocating two portable buildings with necessary utility disconnections, reconnections, and foundation work. Stormwater management, specifically the construction of a detention pond, is required. A major component is EV charging and site modifications, including the installation of up to 40 new EV chargers (requiring EVITP-certified personnel), potential removal of existing chargers, bolt-down installation and supplemental concrete work for charging stations, and verification of EVITP certification. The selected DBE will be responsible for obtaining all necessary construction permits and adhering to all plans, specifications, California Education Code, Public Contract Code, and the California Environmental Quality Act.
