General Project Description

This is a competitively bid, firm fixed-priced indefinite quantity Job Order Contract (JOC) for various detailed repair, alteration, maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction tasks related to roadways or other road-related structures and facilities within Kern County. Individual projects will be accomplished through the issuance of Job Orders against this contract. The contractor must furnish all management, labor, materials, and equipment required to perform the work for each Job Order project. The contract has a minimum ordering value of $250,000 and a maximum potential value of $3,000,000. Work includes, but is not limited to, asphalt concrete paving, concrete removal, roadway excavation, shoulder backing, aggregate base work, reinforced concrete pipe installation, HDPE pipe installation, rock slope protection, minor concrete for cross drains, curbs, drive approaches, and sidewalks, as well as thermoplastic traffic striping and pavement markings. The contractor is responsible for site safety, preparation, cleanup, quality assurance, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
