Kern County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Gatehouse Scale Replacement (Inbound) at Bakersfield Metropolitan (Bena) Sanitary Landfill, identified under Solicitation ID: 26009. General Project Description
This project involves the replacement of the inbound gatehouse scale at the Bakersfield Metropolitan (Bena) Sanitary Landfill. The scope includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install a heavy-duty steel deck scale. Work items include the removal and hauling away of the existing mechanical cement pit truck scale, pouring of new footings or piers as needed, repair of coping and asphalt/concrete edging, installation of the new heavy-duty steel deck scale within the existing pit, and the calibration and testing of the new and existing indicators. The contractor is also responsible for acquiring all necessary building permits.
