General Project Description

The County of Kings is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide construction inspection and materials testing services for the HSIP Cycle 11 Safety Improvements Project. This project entails the installation of dedicated left-turn lanes and flashing beacons at various intersections across Kings County, along with necessary signing and striping. The selected consultant will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work adheres to approved plans, specifications, and the County's Quality Assurance Program (QAP). The scope of work encompasses pre-construction tasks such as reviewing project plans and specifications, attending pre-construction meetings, and a comprehensive range of construction-phase services. These include providing on-site inspections for activities like over-excavation, fill placement, aggregate base applications, and hot mix asphalt placement (covering compaction, quality, and temperature checks).
