General Project Description

This project involves the replacement of existing water mains, including excavation, shoring, installation of approximately 12,800 linear feet of PVC piping, fire hydrants, water and fire services, and valves. The scope also includes the reconnection of existing services, potholing of utilities, abandonment of existing water mains and valves, and the removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement, curb/gutter, sidewalk, cross gutter, and driveways. Additionally, the project requires the connection to an existing 8-inch main at the intersection of Clubhouse Drive and Carson Street, the installation of approximately 1,900 square feet of 3-inch-thick asphalt rubber hot mix (ARHM GC-CPG 64-16), and a 2-inch grind and overlay of the entire street on Downey.
