General Project Description

The City of Lawndale is seeking a qualified firm to provide comprehensive Building and Safety Services under a contract service agreement for an initial three-year term, with two additional one-year renewal options. The scope encompasses Building Division Administration, Building Plan Check, Building Inspection, and Building Counter Operations. The selected consultant will be responsible for the daily administration of building division activities, comprehensive plan review for compliance with various codes (including architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, housing, solar energy, signs, tents, and relocated building codes), conducting field inspections, issuing permits, collecting fees, and maintaining accurate records within the city's permit tracking system. The project requires the provision of ICC certified Building Officials, Plans Examiners, and Inspectors, and the management of these operations to ensure public health, safety, and welfare.
