General Project Description

This project involves transforming an underutilized parking area at 123 N. H Street into a safe, modern, and ADA-compliant public electric vehicle (EV) charging site. The scope includes comprehensive civil and electrical site improvements. Key work items encompass site preparation, clearing, grubbing, demolition, and disposal of existing materials; new paving with Hot Mix Asphalt over an aggregate base; concrete work for curbs, ribbon gutters, and foundations for EV chargers, light poles, and bollards; installation of traffic striping and pavement markings, including ADA-compliant van-accessible stalls; landscaping with decomposed granite and architectural boulders; installation of wheel stops and protective steel bollards; and all associated electrical infrastructure, wiring, and connections for EV charging stations and a fully functional lighting system, in accordance with City and Caltrans standards. The contractor will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a Storm Water Pollution Control Program (SWPPP/SWPCP).
