Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

Long Beach Unified School District is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, MDF/IDF SWITCH REPLACEMENT PROJECT (E-RATE FUNDING YEAR 2026), identified under Solicitation ID: 2526-007-RFP. Work is to be performed near 4400 Ladoga Ave, Lakewood, CA 90713, USA in Los Angeles County.

General Project Description

The project involves replacing aging Cisco core MDF (Main Distribution Frame) and IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) access switches at multiple school locations within the Long Beach Unified School District boundaries. The scope includes planning, collaboration, implementation, system testing and verification, and post-installation support and remediation. Key activities also include the physical removal of older switches and installation of new ones, standardizing deployment methodologies, cleaning up installations, and integrating new switches into the existing LBUSD Cisco DNA appliance. Work disruptive to daytime school functions must be performed after school hours.
